relay Relay (English Name: Relay) is a kind of electrical control device. When the change of input quantity (excitation quantity) meets the specified requirements, it makes the controlled quantity change step by step in the electrical output circuit. It has the interaction between the control system (also known as the input loop) and the controlled system (also known as the output loop). Usually used in automatic control circuit, it is a kind of "automatic switch" which uses small current to control large current operation. Therefore, it plays the role of automatic regulation, safety protection and conversion circuit in the circuit.
 
1. Electromagnetic relay: an electrical relay that works by using the suction between the electromagnet core and the armature in the input circuit.
 
2. Solid state relay: it refers to a kind of relay with input and output isolation, in which electronic components perform their functions without mechanical moving components.
 
3. Temperature relay: the relay that acts when the external temperature reaches the given value.
 
4. Reed relay: it is a relay which can open, close or change the circuit by using the tongue spring which is sealed in the tube and has the double functions of electric spring and armature magnetic circuit
 
5. Time relay: when the input signal is added or removed, the output part needs time delay or time limit to close or disconnect the controlled line relay until the specified time.
 
6. High frequency relay: it is used to switch high frequency and radio frequency lines with minimum loss.
 
7. Polarization relay: it is a relay which acts by the combined action of the polarized magnetic field and the magnetic field generated by the control current through the control coil. The action direction of the relay depends on the current direction flowing through the control coil.
 
8. Other types of relay: such as optical relay, acoustic relay, thermal relay, instrument relay, Hall effect relay, differential relay, etc.
